An Open Letter to Dr.Hun Manet

By  A PhD holder in Mathematics
Re: Hun Sen's sons must not copy Gaddafi or Saddam Hussein

As I understand, you are a West Point graduate and a Ph.D holder from England (from the University of Bristol).
Congratulations to your achievements.
I also understand that some time in the future, your father, PM Hun Sen, will relinquish his position and power to you.
If that is the case, Cambodia will be governed by the most and highly educated leader in the Khmer history.
This letter serves solely as suggestions, please:
1. Work only for Khmer interests, definitely not those of Hanoi.
2. Discourage and eliminate corruption and nepotism
3. Worship and obey principles of democracy and the  rules of law
4. Remind yourself you are to serve. not to rule.

If these suggestions are already in your book, when your time of glory comes, then Cambodia and Cambodians will definitely have a very good leader.

I sincerely hope and expect you put your higher education to work.

A PhD holder in Mathematics

Hello Mr PhD in Mathematics

Have you done your calculation?
Why are you so soon to submit to this boy?
This would suggest that you endorse Hun Sen's rule and his subsequent transference of power to his next of kin.
Have you read CPP's internal rule, Cambodian constitution and the electoral law?
Please play by the rule and don't break the rule as Hun Sen has been doing!
Don't be too coward to submit to the totalitarian rule!

Hello Mr PhD in Mathematics,

I absolutely agree with you. I just hope that the oldest son of Hun Sen used his education to help all Khmers not just his families and his father cronies.

A wealthy, a prosper country, and a peaceful country start with an education people not a ruling class. Look at Thailand, Thailand was and still is rule by the Ruling Class (upper class of people with wealth). The Yellow are mostly uppler and rich people; on the other hand, the Red are mostly the poor or from the rural of Thailand.

Cambodia will be prosper only when it's leaders understand how the ordinary people live. The poor don't ask for much.

Interesting comments for both of you above, democratic society not transfer power like communism/[Kim ill sung to Kim jung ill to Kim jung Un] the N.Korea.If Educator like Hun Manet
he must not use totalitarianism to control humanbeing like Hun Sen-Hanoi dog regime.

Hun Sen got PhD and he is still dumb as a cow let Hanoi used him like a slave.Just because of you earn PhD doesnt mean that you are smart.

I can't wait to see which party win an election 2013.

Now there a person who has no faith in an educated person. I said I hope that Hun Monet is some how different than his father. I hope that he is seeing a changing world, a modern world, a modern soceity and an educated society where everyone get a fair chance when they work hard.

The government's job is to help build a country not rob a country of it's natural resources like his father and his cronies. The gov't role is to build school and educate it's people like kill it's people. The gov't role to protect it's land, it's people (rich or poor).

My hope is that we Khmers can learn to live side by side (rich or poor) and help each others.

To Usa,

Read and analyze the content of his letter.
Your country has been benignly occupied by Yuon for the last 30 years.
While we are splitting hair here, your Motherland is being cut up, and sold/leased piece by piece.
Are you thi
We cannot afford a second Killing Fields !
If his suggestions above will solve the Khmer problems, why not give it try.?

So what are your solutions ?

The PhD that Hun Sen got was NOT a bonafide
PhD. It was only an HONORARY degree.
If you think earning and studying for a PhD do not require, among other things, intelligence and intellect, try it yourself.

Wow !
That Open Letter is like a found key to open a jammed door !
And no blood shed best of all.

That open letter is good advise to khmer's leaders whom ever come next, thatwise the real world leaders needs an educator for their advisors not advisors from HO CHI MINH jungle's school how to solve problems by using guns or bloodshed to get point across.

Hope that open letter will light up khmers intellectual to solve problems that we all face today in our society.Love Khmer motherland as your life if you ever become a leader, don't be slave to Yuon Hanoi any more.

Enough is enough for the killing and land grabbing/ land concessions only the poor khmers were affected by these evictions.
Stop vote for Cpp Yuon slaves...

A possible solution without risking Khmer blood

Yes, Khmers too are smart.
There are Khmer university professors, scientists, engineers, doctors, researchers, and the likes, in Cambodia, and abroad.
Let's maximize our Khmer potentials for OUR country !

Come on!

If Hun Manet can't do anything to change the status quo right now, he won't be able to do anything much in the future.

Mr PhD in Mathematics, you may be smart in math, but really not well informed of how the communist politburo works. It is a committee that decides how a country affair should be run and NOT ONE man!

Hun Manet so far has not done anything or shown to have done anything that I believe will make a difference to Cambodia and if we have to wait until he gets power, then we might as well stop struggling against the CPP and Hun Sen.

We may be desparate to change a regime, but not to the point of begging another Hun to do it.

Remember Jayavarman VII had no degree, but did have common sense, patience, desire to serve his people and expand his territory.

You need a vision to be a good leader and the rest you hire educated advisors to work for you!

Yes,your open letter is good advisor for those whose are running our country today and in the future as well.In the real world of Democracy leader(s) has to be graduated from University otherwise,he/ she will not qualify for the job.

5th grader like your Pm now will not qualify to work at fast food restaurant in the real world or in America.Your open letter serve as advisor to Khmer's leaders to serve, protect, defense the constitutions of Cambodia against domestics or imports enemies.

Some Khmers keep repeating same old problems again and again, and refuse to give new solution(s) or ideas a chance.
Let's think about possible solutions

Nothing wrong to make an advising for the best of our country. Better to find a resolution to rebuild our society, our culture, our country and not used our valuable to attack each other.
Mr. PhD in Math just did, what we all wanted, that our country come out of the Vietnamese expansionisms.

Dr. Hun Manet will be just like his father, except that he's a much smarter tyrant. Does he look like a idiot who would fall for all your sweet talk? The moment he steps off the street without his daddy's bodyguard is the moment you slid his throat. So funny.

Anonymous said...

A Ph.D. in mathematics writing a simplistic letter and addressed it to that Hun Manet. What has ah Manet done in his life time? Have you ever seen him doing anything worthwhile at all. Like nothing. Has you seen him applying his economics knowledge to operate the biggest company in Cambodia at all. It is like never. Lol.

Anonymous said...

Even ah Kit Meng with a mere community college degree can beat ah Hun Manet the so-called PhD from England financially. Lol

Anonymous said...

Dr. Hun Manet was never given a chance to
govern the country.
His father is the PM, not him.

You are entitled to your own opinion.
So you are implying an AA or AS degree is better than a PhD.

We should welcome any body to be the Prime Minister so far as she/he abides by the law. If Hun Maneth is given the premiereship by his father (from the back door), why should he respects the other laws?

My reason is simple:
1. He needs to be chosen by CPP to be the candidate for a prime minister;
2. He needs to be eligible for being a candidate (ie. not being convicted of any crime).
3. Contested in a free and fair election against other candidates such as Sam Rainsy, Kem Sokhan, Mr Mok, Mr Men, Mr Mao; and then
4. Endorsed by the majority of vote at the National Assembly.

My personal obervation is that:
1. He might be as goood as Mr. PhD in Math described, or
2. He might be as bad as Hun Shit (like father, like son) because:
a, He has done nothing good for Cambodia so far, even though he is a 3 star general with tons of money and influence. Basically, he's done to little to be taken note of;
b, In the face shocked killings, land grabbings and indimidation, he keeps his mouth shut and act cool,
c, If he is installed in power through the back door, it is more likely that he would follow the one that installed him and ignore the laws.

So, Mr PhD en Math, we appreciate your open letter, but we would want to suggest you to be faire to other Khmer leaders and Kaun Khmers that would be doing better than Hun dinasty.

Also,

Hun Maneth is not a crown prince or King in waiting. All posts are open to all khmer people who respect the laws and democratic principle.

People should have a voice in who they want to lead Cambodia, let the people choose the PM and Vice PM....not the CPP or other corrupt officials...

Mr. Donut Baker,
You said it is different here and now, I beleive because of the word higher education.
Suddenly, posters seem to exchange their views
intellectually.
That is very good.
By the way, we love donuts and coffee.
Thank you

For the sake of discussions in here I would appreciate all my fellows khmers that took their priceless time to put their voice/opinion talking about Cambodia's future.

Would you please respect individual that has different idea/ opinion without name calling
or profanity of any kind, trying not to be nice to one other for the sake of Unity.

If khmers didn't loves khmers,Yuons&Chins will take advantage of Khmer, use khmers to kill Khmers like nowadays in Cpp regime.Just wait to see what's PhD Hun Manet can do for your country in the near future.

We can only wait to see what Dr Manet can do in the near future.I am afraid that the "sins of his father will elimination his ability to perform his duty if given a chance" Huncent has committed so much sins/atrocities upon his own people (
khmers) maybe people won't giving Dr Manet chance because khmers afraid that like father like son(theory) is to be true.

Educator will not determine that you are good leader, common sense and patriotism for the love of your country without condition is the key to be s good leader.

A good leader is the one who is willing to serve all people rich poor alike, good leader is a person who is willing to preserve/protect and defense the laws of the land[constitutions of Cambodia]with his life.

Young khmer professional.

To get rid of Hun Sen now or sooner, before more losses and miseries increase, and best of all without bloodshed, Dr. Hun Manet could be
a good choice,as long as he practices at least those four suggestions in That Open Letter.

Anonymous said...

Hi
I am very happy to read here
that, we posters, in exchanging views and ideas do not
use sarcasm or profanity to and among each other.
This in itself is progress.
Thank you

For sure, he will be better than his father.

Dear Khmer Sisters & Brothers,

If PM Hun Sen agrees to bestow his position and power to his eldest son, Cambodia is, in my view one step better.
Unlike his father, Dr. Hun Manet, in addition to his academic credentials, had lived and breathed Democracy in the US and the UK. Also young Manet was never a Khmer Vietminh fighter.
It would be easier and better to deal with Dr. Manet than his old Vietminh father.
Yes, we will still hold elections. And the NEW Prime Minister then will be challengend in free and fair elections to continue his post.

Other solutions require too much time, and may not solve the problems.
Time may run out, before KhmerNation becomes Yuon's.
Let's remember:
" You kill the snake with the stick you HAVE, not
the stick you WISH you had "

Therefore, this solution is practical, efficient, and
best of all no Khmer bloodshed.

Long Live Kampucha !!!

Let's stick with democratic principles and and keep our high integrity.

Let's look at example in other countries: Bush junior was precident because people elected him according to his own credentials, not because his father was a president. Likewise, Hilary Clinton was elected not because her husband was a former president.

Even in China and VN they follow a system that no one or family is above the law. They have a committee to elect a now leader every ten years. That's why China and Yuon have been developing their respective countries rapidly.

All Cambodians should say NO to nepotism. We should collectively make our voice heard that "any atempt to tranfer power in family line is TOTALLY REJECTED". The cheap excuses like the renewal of war or more bloodshet should not have a place in our mind. However, it is the injustice and oppression in society that leads to war.

We, the children of Khmer Angkor, should have a high morality, a right mindset without viruses in our mind, and steadfastly uphold the principle of democray, abide by the laws (the good ones?), and promote social justice.

We should make ourselves clear that anyone that abuse the power must be subjected to punishment and anyone (included Maneth) who got power illegally, is shameful and gain no respect in the society.

You got caught in analysis paralysis.
Khmer problems cannot be solved by using other country's solutions. Those countries are not subjects of a SECOND Kampucha Krom.
The proposed solution, is by no means a sign of weakness. It neither is nepotism as you see it.
It is merely a vehicle to achieve the end result.
And then, the democracy process shall take place.
I am still a SRP supporter. It may take at least 15 years for SRP to win, meanwhile Hun Sen and CPP are selling or leasing our lands and other national resources to Yuon and others.
As you probably know, the workers that Yuon brought in to cultivate the leased lands are Viet soldiers and officers. We all know what they will do, the time comes. That's just one example.
Should we start a revolution, we know who will
fight alongside Hun Sen's troops.
Then Khmers will engage in civil wars. Look at what happens in Syria almost one year and half
when the arm uprising started.
Time is not on our side.
Our Motherland is very sick, let's cure her first, before it's too late.
I for one woud adopt anybody's idea as long as
it solves the problems.

KHMERS must be their own masters.
Yuons plan to annex Cambodia to Vietnam, China does NOT !
Chinese investments became bad, because of corruptions, and abuses of powers within Hun Sen's regime.

This self-claimed PhD in Mathematics is so rude. Read his suggestion again:

This letter serves solely as suggestions, please:
1. Work only for Khmer interests, definitely not those of Hanoi.
2. Discourage and eliminate corruption and nepotism
3. Worship and obey principles of democracy and the rules of law
4. Remind yourself you are to serve. not to rule.
----------------
1. Are you hinting Hun Sen is serving Hanoi's interest? Is there plenty of accusation flying around? A great way to upset the son with the accusation against the father.

2. Again, whose nepotism? Is that again pointing at Hun Sen's nepotism?

3. No comment, this point is so rude. It's like telling a customer entering a store, "Do NOT shop lifting here".

4. I think Hun Manet would want to lead, but if you folks are so rude and dumb, he will rule.
