Cambodian PM calls for direct flight with Japan

PHNOM PENH, May 7, 2012 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen insisted Monday that a regularly direct flight between Cambodia and Japan is very important to boost the bilateral ties in economic, trade, investment and tourism.
He said Japan is one of the largest aid providers to Cambodia, but, on the investment side, few Japanese investors have come to Cambodia.
On the tourism side, during the first three months of this year, Cambodia received 54,450 Japanese visitors, a 10.6 percent increase, ranking Japan at No. 4 among the top ten market arrivals.
"Cambodia wants to see more Japanese investors and tourists to Cambodia in order to build stronger ties between Cambodia and Japan in all fields," Hun Sen said during a meeting with Japanese investor Huyashi Susumu, the president of Grand Operation Company.

He said if there is a direct flight between the two countries, he believes that more Japanese tourists will come to Cambodia, so do Japanese investors.
Hun Sen recalled that during his visit to Japan last month to attend the 4th Mekong-Japan Summit, he also suggested Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda to consider a direct flight between the two countries.
Japan is the second largest provider of grants and concessional loans to Cambodia after China. According to the Cambodian government's records, by 2011, Japan had given some 2 billion U.S. dollars to Cambodia.
But, in terms of investment, since 1994 to 2011, Cambodia had attracted only 257 million U.S. dollars from Japan, ranking the country as the 11th largest investor in Cambodia.

IF YOU WANT MORE JAPAN OR AMERICAN INVESTMENT IN CAMBODIA, IMPROVES HUMAN RIGHTS AND FAIR ELECTION.
CAMBODIA RANKS AT THE BOTTOM FOR CORRUPTION.
FOR INSTANCE, WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY BRIDE TO POLICES WHEN I TRANSPORTED MY COWS FROM ONE PROVINCE TO ANOTHER PROVINCE WHEN ALL MY PAPERWORK ARE IN ORDER.

Totally, Cambodia human rights are embarrassing to the world.

Unlike Chinese, Korean or Taiwanese companies, Japanese companies are law-abiding and want to do clean business, not corrupt business. So, if Hun Sen wants Japanese or American businesses, he must clean corruption and improve human rights also.

Only corrupted business investors will want to work with this dictator and his mafia gang.

Dont invest in Cambodia and dont support his dictator regime or you will risk loosing your reputation.

Japanese investors are more ethical than the rest. They also feel that their investment must have a political stability, where as Cambodia is classified as high risk ground for long term investment. It's only fool rust in.

The country without democracy and freedom is like a house that is built on sand.
